HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Hi Victor,

Merry Christmas to Everyone in Cottlesville!!! We were lucky enough to have Mom and Dad (Ted and Wavey) spend Christmas at our home this year (first one in ten years) and a great time was had by all.  Sharing the magic of the season together and creating memories cannot be attached with a price tag.  It certainly was the best Christmas gift of all!!

We heard a rumour that some mummers were spotted about town and from your picture, we see we were right.  Seems to us we know a few - any chance of a few hints?  The accordion players look mighty familiar and we're sure we've seen that ugly stick before!

Victor, keep up the great work on the web site and again, thank you for helping us stay connected to "home".  Wishing Everyone a Happy New Year and all the best for 2007!

Hi Everyone,

We have made it back home safe and sound with our little boy and he is doing wonderful.

I just wanted to send one last e-mail to thank you all for your prayers and e-mails that you sent our way.

I am attaching a couple of pictures of Andrew for you all to see, he is indeed our miracle baby! To look at these pictures and to think back on went he has went through the past 2 weeks is almost unbelieveable.  But there is nothing impossible for God..so when you look at his pictures please say a prayer of thanks to the Almighty Healer for he alone deserves the praise!

Please keep us in your prayers

God Bless You All!

Lance & April

I still have a question for anyone willing to answer…
Does anyone know who the parents/ brothers/ sisters/ of Charles Canning

Hi,

I sent you a note last fall after visiting your web site. I just finished looking

at the updates and was very impressed with all the beautiful pictures

and to see so many people involved in all the activities, it is wonderful.

Keep up the great work and the wonderful pictures, I have memories of that place

when I was very young and my parents used to visit the late Uncle Jim Philpott

there and he had many stories.

Regards,

Victor....you did it to me again!!!  I just finished looking at the Christmas pics and you managed to get the tears flowing yet again.  Christmas is a hard time of the year to be away from "home",  but looking at all the wonderful pictures made me feel as though I didn't miss all the fun. I must say though, Santa seems mighty familiar to me!!

Great job, as always, on keeping up with the site.  Checking it has become a weekly routine for my family.  My face brightens each time I see a familiar face and my kids love seeing their extended family.

I've been away from home now over 20 years and time has a way of changing things, but thanks to the efforts of the web site, I still feel very much connected.  Thank you.

Merry Christmas EVERYONE and best wishes for 2006!!

Hi

I have found your Cottlesville page very interesting.
My GG Grandfather was Charles Canning b 1828 so I am
related to many of the people listed on your site.
I am also related to the Minty's and I note that you have
Stephen Cooper married to Mary Elizabeth Minty. I have researched
my family members for several years and found no reference to this marriage.

Was this family info I wonder ? Could you please put me in contact with our
source??

I have some records of Stephen Cooper's descendants, Many of them lived
at Newstead . I grew up at Comfort Cove ( Margaret Head )

Do you still have copies of the Cottlesvillel book for sale?
If so who can i write the cheque to?

Many Thanks

Just wanted to let you know that you have a wonderful site and beautiful pictures on the web

of Cottlesville.

I’m connected with the Philpott’s, in the William Philpott area in the name of Stanley, he was my

grandfather and my father was Wesley. I knew Ralph Philpott very well and visited him several times.

If you want more information that I have on the family, I can submit it to sometime.

Keep up the great work.
