Cottlesville is a small rural community on Route 344 in Notre Dame Bay, Newfoundland, Canada. It has a population of approximately 250 friendly folks. It has breathtaking scenery, with rugged landscapes and peaceful harbours. Intricate Harbour, where some harbour front development is taking place, is one of the most sheltered harbours in Newfoundland. Luke’s Arm is a large sheltered inlet that can accommodate ships which draw thirty feet of water. Ideally located near the water, Cottlesville is an excellent place to view icebergs and whales. Cottlesville has a boat launch for smaller boats, to visit the nearby formerly inhabited islands, to fish for cod and to hunt turrs in the fall.

Located in central Newfoundland, it is an excellent location to live, or to run a business. Nearby communities such as Twillingate, Lewisporte, Grand Falls-Windsor and Gander towns are around an hour's drive away and hold many tourist attractions such as golf courses, museums, shopping centres, and rec-facilities as well as hospitals, an airport, car dealerships, marine service centers, etc..

Cottlesville itself is serviced locally by a multi-purpose sports field, an excellent water and sewer system, street lights, a trail system, a board walk, a kayaking base for Notre Dame Bay, and a large fish plant. Being the largest employer of the community, Breakwater Fisheries Limited a primary processing plant employs many people not only from Cottlesville but from many other communities in the vicinity.Cottlesville would be an ideal location for a company to set up secondary processing as well as a location for a marine service centre to accommodate and service boats of all sizes. Another major employer is Cottles Island Lumber Company, which originated in Cottlesville, has a state of the art diversified operation supplying wood and lumber products worldwide.
